To be completely honest, I sometimes wish I could take a
complete break from it all, but that
would involve taking a break from being adopted, and I haven't figured out how
to do that. I understand the need to take occasional breaks from reading and
writing about adoption because the whole business can get overwhelming at
times. Sometimes I need to turn my focus away, but the issues don't disappear. As
my friend and fellow Lost Daughter Deanna said in her post the other day, "I
wake up every day, still adopted."
